The Anticipation For The Playstation 3 Is Almost Over As The Stores Prepare For Its Release

New products and objects hit the market every day. Some make a very tiny splash and only a small group of people notice it, while others will make a whale-sized splash and have every person for miles will come running. No it is not often, and the item will usually be of a high quality and a very high price. Well, stores are used to it by now with new gaming consoles hitting the market every few years. Last November it was the XBOX 360, and this November it is the release of Playstation 3. The Playstation 3 has been one of the most anticipated console systems all year and it is certain that the Playstation 3 will get the same, if not more, attention as the XBOX 360 did, when it was released.

Big retail and electronic stores know that the Playstation 3 is going to cause utter chaos when it becomes available to shoppers. Many of the stores will make people join a list if they want to buy a Playstation 3. This list will have all the names of people who want to purchase a Playstation 3. When one of the consoles is available, the next person on the list will be called to come down and purchase it. There will also be stores that will sell the Playstation 3 to customers on a "first come, first served" basis, but there won't be many, and the ones that do will have extremely long lines.

The release of a console system a month before Christmas is of no surprise. Sony knows, as did Microsoft, that parents all around the world are going to be hassled by their children to get one of these systems for Christmas, which means big sales numbers for Sony. On the day of release, most of these systems will already have been pre-purchased and right when they arrive, they will be picked up by anxious consumers. If you want to get a Playstation 3, its time to get yourself on one of these lists. Hopefully, you can find a store that does not have a full list, but usually people will have signed up for a pre-order back in July. Even if they do have a full list, many stores will allow you to still add yourself to the list for the next shipment. As the official release date is for November 17th, 2006, there should be more than 1 global shipment of Playstation 3's, hence, your chances of getting one are increased. If you act fast that is.

If you don't get a Playstation 3 on the day it is released, it can be seen as both good and bad. Its bad that you did not get the console system when you wanted it, but good because it might have problems. The first XBOX 360 consoles that were sold seem to have had some technical problems, which may or may not happen with the first shipment of Playstation 3's. It may seem like "forever" while waiting for the PS3 to come out and for you to get your hands on one. But, don't worry, it was the same with the XBOX 360, and eventually, there will be plenty for everyone.
