Some Of The Reasons That Online Puzzle Games Are So Much Fun

Writen by Gregg Hall

When we were children, me, my brother and sister would sit in the family room and do jigsaw puzzles. I don't want to say exactly how old I am, (my mainly salt and little pepper beard gives a good indication), but back then there was no such thing as cable television. There were only 4 channels that were hard to get, even though you tried positioning the antenna a thousand different ways. You had to be able to make your own entertainment and our family's favorite was jigsaw puzzles.

My brother and I would make a contest of it, while my sister would calmly find the pieces and fit them into the puzzle. She always completed more of the puzzle than we did, but that didn't stop us from proclaiming that we had done the most to complete the puzzle.

Now, instead of buying puzzles at the store, I put them together online. I have to tell you, of all the advanced technology out there, the ones that have been put into puzzle games amaze me the most. These are interactive puzzles that allow you to drag the pieces around the screen to form it. It may sound boring, but nothing could be farther from the truth.

My favorite game site, Big Fish Games, has puzzles that come to life as they take shape. There's one particular game that uses the ocean as a background. You start putting the puzzle together and as the fish shapes are completed, they take on life and begin moving about the screen. Way too cool, as my son would say. Somehow, they've managed to give the puzzles a 3D effect, which makes them even more beautiful when they are completed. The details are so fine, that you feel like you are actually in the room shown in the puzzle.

Another of my favorite puzzles blends objects into the picture and you have to find them all in a certain amount of time. Some of the objects are easy to locate, but others are so well hidden, it's hard to locate them. You can get hints to their location and I am always shocked that I didn't see them earlier, since they appear to have been "hidden" in plain view. These games are excellent to sharpen your observation skills and provide exercise for your mind. Body fitness is given tons of attention, but little is given to how to keep your mind in shape. Puzzle games are a great way to do this and provide a lot of entertainment at the same time.

If you really want to get on a mental treadmill, try the games that make you find the differences in pictures. It might seem easy, but it isn't. This weekend my sister is coming for dinner and I'm going to introduce her to these games. Finally, after all of these years, I think I may actually best her at a puzzle.

The Perils Of The Playstation 2 Game System

Writen by Morgan Hamilton

Are you crazy about video games? Oh, come on don't be ashamed! Nowadays this is so normal. So many people love to stay lazy at home and play video games all day long. Some even claim that video games are the best entertainment on the Earth. Let me be more specific, guys just love to waste their time playing video games. I admit, there may be women who play video games but I know none of them!

I usually have fun watching how playstation 2 game system can control peoples' lives. This playstation 2 game system just absorbs them. Do you know that there are people who make their living in the video game contests? Yes, they earn their money with video games! They play for the big cash prizes. Does it sound strange to you? What is so ridiculous? There people love to play video games. What is better than to make your living out of your hobby? It is all because probably these playstation 2 game systems have something addictive!

I believe you know at least one person who has a playstation 2 game system. It is just impossible that any of your friends or even you do not have a playstation 2 game system. These playstation 2 game system can be seen everywhere. They are getting more and more popular each day.

Personally, I am trying not to get in touch with any kind with video games in order not to waste my time. The same goes playstation 2 game systems even. I value highly my time. I have no time to give to this playstation 2 game system.

However, if you cannot give up playing video games, before you sit think of how much time are you going to play. Don't you think that the playstation 2 game system will take too much time from you? People become addicted with playstation 2 game system and they cannot quit playing. They always say, "This is my last game" or "just one more game." The time they spend in front of the playstation 2 game system seem to them like minutes. But it is not. Guys do not realize that while they are pushing and pushing repeatedly these buttons, time flies away.

When I was at college, I worked at a Hollywood Video. Every day, different people were coming in search of new video games. I always asked myself whether they had not something better to entertain themselves. These people were mainly adults. Come on, when you cross the teenage years, can you spend all your time with the playstation 2 game system?

I remember a girl who worked with me. She just hated video games! She felt so bad that her 26-year-old boyfriend was playing video games constantly. She guessed that may be he was feeling depressed that he couldn't find a job. As a result, he was playing video games all day long! He didn't even want to go anywhere. Oh, yeah, that is my boy!

I admit that video games are entertaining. However, can you spend your entire time with your playstation 2 game system? The trick of giving up video games is not to get sucked in ever. You'd better explore the real world outside. I mean the world that is beyond your playstation 2 game system.

Xbox Game Violence Vs Pocket Pc Pacifism

Writen by Damian Julien

News of grisly XBox-related killings is rapidly making the rounds within the relatively docile Pocket PC game community.

The MSNBC site recently outlined the jury's recommendations for six people killed over an XBox-related dispute in Florida.

After being evicted from the lodging where he had been squatting with his friends, Troy Victorino, 29, plotted revenge.

He returned with a couple of friends armed with baseball bats, where they summarily set about bludgeoning six other young people to death.

The most telling aspect of this unfortunate tale is that this was sparked by the property owner's 22-year-old granddaughter.

She made the unlucky decision to hold on to the assailant's XBox after having them turfed from the property, adding insult to injury.

Curiously, it was this last slight that proved to be the proverbial last straw and not Victorino's sudden social shift to homeless hobo.

The costly consoles typically sold for around $200.00 CAD at the time of these slayings.

Some may say it was small wonder that this would serve as a catalyst for grisly, unadulterated video game related horror.

If you typically fall prey to politician-like spurious leaps in logic, you'll be counting down the days to an XBox 360 related incident as prices for this Cadillac of consoles soar into the stratosphere.

In Toronto it's retailing for $399.00 CAD at my local Best Buy outlet.

It's just enough to expedite the trip from mild mannered Pocket PC game geek to drooling chainsaw-wielding psycho after considering PST and GST taxes.

You may recall that 360 console prices in the thousands of dollars posted on EBay during the initial release of this game system.

Microsoft had struggled to keep pace with demand due to an unfortunate decision to start manufacturing en masse 69 days prior to release.

This led to ludicrosity in the form of violence-inducing EBay prices with units going for as much as $2500 CAD.

Stories of XBox crashes and overheating were just beginning to surface as I detailed in an earlier article.

What concerns me most are the spurious, irrational conclusions that are sure to follow. You're most likely familiar with the old, tired dogma linking violent video games to scenes right out of Tarantino's Hostel.

I'm not one to be a hypocrite about these things. I've played games in the gruesome genre, including some memorable spine-ripping finishing moves in Mortal Kombat or some frighteningly authentic execution-style kills in Hitman.

If you frequent my site you may have noticed that there is a distinctive lack of violent Pocket PC games reviewed.

This is hardly an accident as you'll be hard-pressed to find any for this platform, save for Killer Instinct Pocket PC emulator sessions.

As far as the Pocket PC game demographic is concerned, we're emulating the European mindset.

Developers generally eschew gory PDA game violence but can still encounter erotic PDA game downloads like the sexy Strip Teaser PPC game download over at the Softpedia site.

Solving puzzles in this game allows you to pause, play and rewind various striptease videos, presumably during covert corporate bathroom breaks.

I can accurately discern between real-life and virtual violence in my permanent starring turn as a pacifistic Pocket PC pansy. Maybe I'm a bit of a deviant.

Just the same, I don't think I'll be doling out $500 CAD for an XBox 360 right now. Microsoft's one fingered salute in the form of one wireless controller may just lead to beserker rage.

Playstation 3 Preview

Writen by Alan Scott

In past one decade Sony has sold around 190 million PlayStation consoles across the world. The estimated units of software sold are around massive 2 billion. As the next generation avatar of its highly successful PlayStation series, Sony unveiled PlayStation 3 at technology fest E3 in Los Angeles. It is stated to release near christmas this year.

The initial specs of the system look impressive though the real difference will be discovered once the system is in market.

Sony touts it to be far more powerful than the recently launched Xbox 360.In a recent interview to Impress PC Watch, Kutaragi revealed that the PlayStation 3 will become an "entertainment supercomputer" for the home moving far beyond the traditional image of just a gaming console.

"We haven't been creating our PlayStations for the sake of games. Our belief, and the motivation behind running our company, has been to applying the power of computers to entertainment and enjoyment, he added.

How far Sony will deliver on its promises only time will tell but new PS3 has certainly upsurged a new found interest in gaming industry. Taking clue from Sony's presentation in E3 we have analysed what will be in offer for you next summer.

Design

The new PS3 is an extension of its previous versions and designed in saloon shaped. Personally though it's not as elegant as the PS2 or for that matter to Xbox 360 but it is good, my personal impression is that the design team is led by a Japanese as it is consistent with most of the futuristic designs coming out of Japan lately. Sony has revealed that it will be available in three colours – White, Silver and Black.

The biggest surprise comes in the design of the controller. The new wireless controller comes with long handles. Has Sony worked on ergonomics is not known but initial impression is that long handles will improve the handling aspect. Will it help in playing for long hours, is yet to be seen.

Under the Hood

This is what matters in technology, the real substance beneath the lid. Sony has really worked hard to maintain its advantage in this segment. The new system is powered by highly-vaunted Cell, a new generation chip developed by Sony in collaboration of IBM and Toshiba. The PS3's CELL consists of a 64-bit PowerPC core running at 3.2 GHz and enhanced by eight 32-bit "synergistic processing units," capable of performing 218 teraflops almost twice that of Xbox 360.

PlayStation 3 will be the first console to use a Blu-ray optical disc drive. This will replace the more traditional DVD drive found on the PS2.

Blu-ray technology uses a blue violet laser to read and write data. As this blue laser has a shorter wavelength than its red counterpart, it's possible to store much more data on Blu-ray discs, almost 6 times more than on today's DVD. Fortunately, the new Blu-ray drive will also be compatible with older technology. So PS3 owners will be able to watch their DVDs and play their older PS1 and PS2 games on their new console. So don't just throw your old CD's and DVD's. The graphic will be created by nVidia graphics called the RSX ("Reality Synthesizer"), and will trump the Xbox 360 with 1080p graphics support. Just imagine most present day games use 400p, so the next generation graphics could be as close to what you guys saw in mega movies like Finding Nemo and the Incredibles.

Emphasizing on it Mr Kutaragi said that with PS3, our intentions have been to create a machine with supercomputer calculation capabilities for home entertainment. PS 3 also boost a 256MB system RAM 3.2GHz, and 256MB GDDR VRAM at 700MHz and a 2.5-inch hard drive (i.e. laptop hard drive) attachment—a first for a Sony launch.

Connectivity

We've long since known that two things result in the best performance: lots of bandwidth, and specialized hardware. Cell did its bit, the next challenge for Sony is to make PS3 supremely connective. If Xbox was better than PS2 even though marginally at something, it was in its online connectivity. The success of the PS3 hugely depends upon how compatible will it be to online environment. The future belongs to MMORPG (Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game).

Final Take

The $500 price tag may be dearer compare to Xbox but given PlayStation base among the gamers I believe it will sail through.

Computer Games In The Childs Life

Writen by Tyler Benson

The effect of computer games has become a "hot point" in our society. Mostly we draw information on the issue from the two major sources - media and empiric research. And both of them have their own peculiarities. Since 80s the media abounds in numerous reports on hazardous effect of the computer in general and computer games in particular on a child's psyche. Among the major accusations there is addiction evinced in psychopathological symptoms (inability of a teenager to switch to other entertainments, the feeling of fake superiority over the surroundings, impoverishment of emotional sphere, etc).

Many articles claim that computer games provoke aggressive behavior, violence and wars, as well as extremism. The child tends to limit his interests to "gaming" all the time, he tries to build up his own world and escape from reality. Spending their time only with computer instead of mixing together with their peers lead to the social isolation and difficulties in interpersonal contacts. Somatic disorders, reduction of visual acuity, rapid add up to general negative picture of the computer's influence.

These opinions are also quite wide-spread in scientific circles and supported by many researchers. They have conducted a number of researches to spot the peculiarities characteristic of the teenagers who spend most of the time playing computer games. A 5- month research of the users aged 9- 16 showed that computer games change their hobby preferences only for a span of a few weeks; in three month-time most "gamers" return to their former hobbies and activities. There is another interesting result refuting the common opinion:" gamers" in comparison with their peers tend to be more responsive to social changes.

The scientists have not detected either serious psychological disorders or any symptoms of "computer" addiction among the tested children. There are only instances of overstrain, foot ache (for those who play arcade games), hand ache caused by convulsive clenching of a joystick, general accelerated psychic excitement, insomnia). One of the central topics of the psychological researches is the problem of aggressiveness of under-aged and the delinquencies connected with it. However the results of numerous works in this field prove that aggressive games provoke aggressive conduct only for children at the age of 6- 9 years old.

The commercials and TV programs containing violent episodes have just the same effect. The results of the tests and researches do not allow us to speak only of definitely negative effect of computer games on teenager's psyche. Excessive use of computer games as well as any other form of leisure may lead to psychopathological symptoms. Though only one tenth of the tested have such symptom. It would be logical to suggest that knowing your time limit of gaming at the computer you will not be subject to any health risks. Moreover, the games will help you to develop yourself.

Motorola Cell Phone Gaming Oneups Pocket Pc

Writen by Damian Julien

If your Pocket PC RPG game forays need to be buttressed by Motorola cell phone gaming, read on.

TechNewsWorld broke the scoop on an exciting union that bodes well for Motorola cell phone gamers.

Chinese gaming company Shanda Interactive and Motorola have just signed the ink on a partnership.

Figures from the same article suggest a mobile game scene in China reaching a lofty US$714 million by 2008.

Fortunate Motorola E680g cell phone owners can now look forward to mobile versions of Shanda Interactive's World of Legend and Magical Land games on upcoming customized versions of their handset hardware.

At least this will give some Pocket PC game aficionados something to grin about in the future.

Especially if you're prone to display damage from an overly enthused stylus-stabbing six year old.

This will have to be in reference to future upcoming Motorola cell phone game releases from Shanda as I'm still yet to encounter a six year old capable of role playing game comprehension.

Pocket PC gamers will have to be content with using this as a Motorola cell phone platform backup while their iPAQ or Axim is docked, at least until some other titles are released.

As for covert gaming at the office, you may have to choose between staring fixedly at a Motorla cell phone or your Pocket PC.

It's really no contest if it's a matter of corporate gamer subterfuge as the former is decidedly more conspicuous.

Not that Shanda Interactive's initial offerings are anything to sneeze at in the RPG category, though.

Admittedly, I haven't played a whole lot in the way of Shanda Interactive titles.

It might have more to do with their immense popularity placed smack on the Chinese desktop PC game scene.

Still, it will be interesting to see how closely they can emulate the gorgeous anime-like visuals of Magical Land and the sharp, detailed textures of World of Legend, as evidenced by their screenshots.

The Pocket PC isn't a slouch in the role playing game department, either, with popular PPC releases like Ancient Evil featuring the same Diablo-esque dungeon crawl creature kills as its desktop PC cousin in full isometric real-time lighting glory.

I've tried steadfastly avoiding desktop PC MMORPG games (massively multiplayer online RPG) games featuring large numbers of online players interacting in virtual worlds due their extremely addictive nature.

A recovering RPG addict, I have already succumbed to the frenzy invoked by Blizzard's Diablo dungeon crawl hack-and-slash series on the desktop PC platform a few years ago.

Interestingly enough, these first two releases from Shanda will appeal to the darker RPG junkie side that seems to inflict so many.

Virtual denizons of the desktop PC virtual worlds in World of Warcraft and EverQuest (dubbed EverCrack by my colleagues) will know exactly what I'm talking about, and Motorola cell phone gamers could soon be foaming at the mouth for more.

I personally know of one World of Warcraft addiction leading to divorce.

By her account, her ex-husband was pretty chuffed about achieving the elusive Level 70 cap.

He perpetuated his delusions of grandeur during his real life career as a pizza delivery guy with strange and somewhat sad Superman-like bravado.

Post-divorce, his obese flights of fantasy resulted in some 90 pounds in weight loss with no one around to remind him to eat during his megalomaniac maneuvers online.

Most will probably agree that shuttling to and from a Pizza Pizza parlour out of the Greater Toronto Area isn't necessarily conducive to ego-tripping.

Not unless you're a powerful Troll warlock, I suppose. Invariably, I can see this becoming a domestic issue of gigantic proportions.

It seems like massively multiplayer Motorola cell phone gamers can look forward to that next hardware upgrade to the Motorola E680g.

More so than MMORPG-less Pocket PC game freaks, anyway.

Nintendo DS WiFi gaming is becoming increasingly ubiquitous as aggressive marketing takes off in parts of Asia and Europe, bolstering their position as king of the handheld wireless gaming kingdom.

This is even more telling as it flourishes in spite of initial WiFi game Nintendo DS setbacks resulting in irate forum poster feedback.

Once again another platform is stepping up as the PDA falls off the MMORPG stage like a Miss Universe pageant winner whose dress is just a little too tight.

We can still take comfort in signicantly larger displays and more prevalent VGA units, but hopefully PPC game developers will chew on this news and respond in kind.

10 Innovative Game Features

Writen by Winston Malton

Watch yourself struggle, sweat, collapse as you turn your video game console into a personal trainer.

Here are ten ways the latest development by Eye-Toy technology is doing away with the couch-potato stigma that's commonly attached to gaming, and developing the hottest new innovation moving the video game industry right now.

1. Dubbed Eye-Toy Kinetic, the game assesses your weight and your height to devise a workout for you. In some cases it will even devise a certain number of calories to burn. It designs a personalized physical training or workout program. You can customize your workouts to make it suitable for getting you in shape, losing weight, or toning your muscle. It feature exercises from four different disciplines, four exercise zones available to you: cardio, combat, toning, and mind & body, such as meditation and yoga.

2. You go at your own pace and monitor your progress along the way. It will also take advantage of the PS2's internal clock to keep you on a regimented 12-week workout. It's not a game so much as a virtual home fitness center and cheaper than a gym membership.

3. You interact with one of two virtual fitness trainers to keep you motivated. One is male, the more gung-ho type with his loud fitness platitudes, and one is female, the more reassuring of the two. Miss a workout and expect to get an earful from one of them.

4. This game technology requires a user to step face to face with the screen used with a console. A minicamera beneath the screen to project your image onto the screen and allow you to capture a full range of motion onscreen. It will use the EyeToy peripheral to actually track your activity and motion.

5. A boxing match places you in the center of your TV screen and pits the virtual you against a Mr. Universe. Another challenging game has you facing off with an likeness of yourself, punching balls coming at you on the screen, while steering clear of other ones. Here you are playing the game with real punches that tire a you out, jumping on a small mat. You work up a good sweat.

6. Exercise different muscles, muscles that you don't normally use. Staying fit is the name of this game. It's a good cardiovascular workout. You work up a light sweat, be short of breath, and sweaty at the brow after punching for almost 10 minutes.

7. The exercise factor has become a hot new selling point. Manufacturers' biggest problem is getting women more interested in gaming. Now, for the first time, they are going to see it. It's made for all fitness abilities. For example, in one three-minute exercise you beat back punching bags coming towards you from the four corners of the screen. This could be accomplished either through precise punching and kicking or wild flailing; either way, you burn calories. It's fairly intense as the bags coming at you faster and faster.

8. It would allow players to have their body interact with the machine, instead of twiddling a joystick wiht buttons. The next wave in video gaming is all about bombarding your senses with real sensations. So plan on throwing away your old plastic joysticks.

9. Eye-Toy isn't only for virtual boxing; it comes in versions that include ping-pong and even dancing in a dance studio or a Zen garden.

10. Games do not have to be an unhealthy exercise. Now you can finally put a video game to work for you with EyeToy. Appease your addiction to games with your body's need for exercise.

Your Playstation Guide

Writen by Rebecka Whitlock

First there was just Playstation. Now there is PS 2, PS 3, and the PSP, which is the portable version. Video games are being updated, enhanced, improved, and revolutionized just as quickly and often as computers are. Well, considering they both do go hand-in-hand in today's hi-tech world, it makes perfect sense. The PSP actually makes it possible for a person to access the Internet as well as play games, watch movies, and listen to music, all from its convenient, fit-in-your-pocket, portable game system. Though, with the way and at the pace that technology and electronics are moving, today's newest and coolest could be tomorrow's old news.

Playstation is just one of the few most popular video game systems available. If you are a video game fan, and in this particular case, a PS fan, then you probably share in the idea that it is important to stay on top of the newest or soon to be newest system models and games. You also probably already know that the easiest way to do that is by getting online and checking out the PS websites. On these websites you will be able to find all the latest productions of game systems, new game releases, and all other game products manufactured and distributed by Sony. Other updated information you can obtain on these websites would be game tips and secrets, the best games available, events and promotions coming in your area or other areas, and you can learn about ways to win, or acquire somehow, free PS items.

Most video game fans aren't just "kind of" fans; they are "all the way" fans. Therefore, if you are a fan, you know how important it is to stay in the know of all the latest PS hype. Check out the websites, consult with your buddies who are also die-hard fans, talk to guys that work in the game department of electronics stores, or whichever electronic store you like to frequent, read the magazines that feature all the latest news on video games, including Playstation, and get playing! Besides, you want to make sure you're better than all the rest of the video game junkies out there, don't you?

Rules Of Card Games

Writen by Jimmy Sturo

The development of card games steadily progressed over the years to create the rules and structure we have today. Today, card games have become a favorite pastime for many people.

People of all ages are playing cards for many different reasons. Ideally, children today use gambling games for educational purposes, as well as entertainment. Most adult associate card playing with gambling and often times bet with real money.

The development of rules in card games is necessary in order to have structure and order. Without rules there would be no organization, nor would the games be as popular, because there would be no organization.

Some of the simplest games have the simplest rules to play. For example, the game of blackjack is very simple. The concept of the game is to get as close to 21 as possible without going over. Even though this game was designed for gambling purposes, it is sometimes used to help children learn addition.

The rules created in some educational card games are designed to maximize the learning capability of children. For example, in the game 'Math Uno,' the rules clearly state that the only way to make a move is to multiply the two numbers in play. For instance, if red six is showing, a blue six is played. Those two numbers are multiplied s in order to complete your turn.

Some card games have a very complicated system of rules. However, due to the amount of exposure card games has received on television, they have become one of the most popular games to play. The rules are very rigid and well defined. It does not leave room for interpretation, or modification.

Make Millions On Runescape Without Runescape Cheat

Writen by Roy Phay

Did you know you can make money on Runescape without Runescape Cheat? In this guide, you will discover the secrets to make money without using Runescape Cheat. These are ideas that the high-level Runescape players do not want you to know. You will learn to make millions without using Runescape Cheat.

Let us now get to the essence and learn how you can make millions on Runescape without Runescape Cheat.

* You can cut logs and cut better and better logs as you gain levels. The better the log the more money you can get from each one. Easy money and no Runescape Cheat.

* Cutting down magic trees is another way of making money without using Runescape Cheat. However, they are hard to cut down. However, remember each magic tree will sell for at least 1000 each, and a fletched magic long bow is worth about 4000.

* Mine coal and iron. Smelt them together to make a steel bar. Most people smith steel bars into plate bodies and high alchemy them. Each plate body sells for 1,200. I would only recommend smithing and high alchemizing steel plate bodies, if you wanted to improve your magic and smithing levels. Otherwise sell the steel bars themselves. This is an excellent way of making money on Runescape without Runescape Cheat.

* Go to the South East of Seer's Village and pick flax until your inventory is full. Then take it North West to the small building, two buildings south from the bank. Go upstairs and spin the flax on the west side of the room, you will craft them into bow strings. Each sells for 150 gold. This is for members only and does not use Runescape Cheat.

* For those of you with +70 range, kill some blue dragons down at Taverly Dungeon, or even better get 70 agility and you will get to the dragons in less than 15 secs from the bank down to the dragons. Each dragon drops about 4,500-5,000 worth of stuff unless you get a rare item. This consists of 1 dragon bone and 1 dragon hide guaranteed per kill. One dragon bone is worth from 2,000-2,800, and one dragon hide is 2,000 each. This is a great way of making money without Runescape Cheat and if you're not afraid of dying from the dragons.

* Vial Running is for members only. For vial running you have to finish Shilo Village Quest. Once have done that go to Shilo Village bank and take out 4,000. After that run to the general store right beside the bank and buy all the vials of water. Keep doing this and switching worlds. Once you have 1,000 vials of water go on herblore forums and look for a buyer. No Runescape cheat, only money!

* A members only tip. Ensure you have completed the Priest in Peril Quest. Go to the clothing shop in the werewolf town and buy lots of gold gloves for about 1,500-2,500. Go to the bank and deposit them. Finally go to Verdock and log onto a non-member world and sell the gloves anywhere from 3,000-9,000 and you have a profit! All easy money without any Runescape Cheat.

* Save up 200k then go to world one, for Free to Play members, or world two for Pay to Play members, and buy things that are selling lower than its market price, and then try and find a buyer that is willing to pay what it is worth or more. This is called merchanting. To do this well you need to keep up to date with market prices. This is possibly the best way to make money in Runescape without using Runescape Cheat.

This guide will help you make money regardless of your combat level and / or starting money. The most important thing is that you will not be using any Runescape Cheat. Read this thoroughly to learn the secrets of making money without jeopardizing your game or using Runescape Cheat.

5 Upsides To Gaming There Is More To Gaming Than Horrors

Writen by Andrew Bermam

Gaming, video and computer, has caught the imagination of the world and is extremely popular. However like anything else there are benefits as well as horrors. The horrors of gaming are widely publicized and well known.

Did you know that gaming can contribute towards improving your skills and mind? Research shows that gaming can also help patients with mental ailments like Alzheimer's. Children who play games monitored by concerned parents are known to perform much better in school and excel in mathematics as well as creative subjects.

1. Gaming is known to improve visual skills. Avid gamers develop the ability to process what they see rapidly and take quick-fire decisions. The gap between anything happening and the reply is spilt second.

2. Kids who enjoy games develop quickly the ability to think on their feet. They are able to "problem solve" efficiently without a pause.

3. Gamers learn to innovate. If they find one path a dead end they quickly think of ways to circumvent the block or dead end. The ability to rationalize and think in a holistic manner is sharpened.

4. Gaming improves co-ordination. The hand eye co-ordination is greatly enhanced by frequent gaming.

5. Games capture the attention of kids who then read extensively with the aim of mastering the game. Kids who are reluctant readers otherwise begin reading and in a roundabout way enhance vocabulary as well as writing skills.

Be well informed and know about initiatives like "the games for health project" by the Serious Games Initiative at http://www.gamesforhealth.org/index2.html and others like Nintendo which have designed a brain training series see: http://gonintendo.com/?p=672, almost five million copies were sold in 2005 when the games were released in Japan.

Using popular fictional characters like the Nintendo Donkey Kong or Mario the games lead the player through math problems, mental exercises, drawing figures on a touch screen, and reading classic literature. The performance of players is presented in terms of brain age and the higher your scores the younger your brain.

Not to be left behind Upstart Games the mobile phone developer is promoting IQ Academy. Here the level of gamers' recognition skills, logical prediction, and spatial resolution are evaluated. After rating the player's abilities the games are reworked to ensure improvement of performance. The puzzles sharpen faculties. See: http://www.upstartgames.com/.

That gaming has an upside is now confirmed and if handled right it will benefit both you and your child. Many industry leaders are working with scientists to develop products that will benefit gamers in many ways.

Brain training as its known promises to unclog the minds of gamers and set the wheels turning in the right direction, it enhances brain function and even helps heal. Gaming prepares the next generation for the unending demands and pressure placed by a fast moving world.

Exercise your mind while enjoying yourself.

Mobilejava Games The Growing Trend

Writen by Judith Earl

Mobile phones are today being considered as an entertainment device to play music, take pictures and play games, more than anything else. Mobile Java games are becoming a new trend in the world's fastest growing wireless business. With the coming of 3Gtechnology, graphics have become richer and speed and performance are also improving with each passing year. With an increasing number of people taking advantage of wireless technology and enjoying entertainment on the move, the mobile gaming industry is facing more challenges to develop latest games with more and more advanced features.

The expansion of the game sector is attracting developers, animators, musicians and content providers and motivating the developers to create new games. Gradually, mobile games are emerging as a leading entertainment option. People playing mobile games are expected to rise to 78.6 million by 2009 and games downloads are also expected to increase ten times. Java games allow people to push their skills to new limits and experience extraordinary emotions while staying at one place.

They can amuse us in ways that no other form of entertainment can. They make the player feel as if they are actually inside another reality zone. The multiplayer gaming continues to grow in popularity with the coming of Java games. With java games, you can fulfill your desires to play against your real rivals. Play adventure games, racing games, sports games, just about every kind of game is available for download from the Internet. Considering what java can do for mobile handsets, Java is clearly a preferred platform for mobile devices in the future, and an ideal platform for mobile games.

Compared to java games, SMS mobile games are played by sending a message to the phone number that corresponds to the game provider's server, which receives the messages, performs some processing, and returns a message to the player with the results. Java improves the ability of mobile phones to support mobile phone games and allows far better control over interface of sms mobile phone games. Because of the extensive use of Java enabled phones, java games are bound to emerge as a forerunner of mobile games.

Snes Games Controllers

Writen by Philip Culver

I was shocked when Super Nintendo Entertainment System first came out of the early picture in the early 1990s. Although, when the SNES came out I was much mature to say goodbye old type of video games.

But I remember the first Nintendo Entertainment System was amazing and groundbreaking in itself. The main drawback for Nintendo was that The Sega Genesis and the Turbo Grafix 16 were already introduced in the market. Even though the wait for the arrival of SNES was worth but it was late for the third generation of video game consoles. I still play on one of my three SNES I own and are my favorites among all third generation consoles.

Super Nintendo controller was amazing and was loaded with features. The Super Nintendo controller had twice as many buttons on the face as the original NES controller and twin shoulder buttons as well. The Super Nintendo controller set the stage for the future controllers as we can see now a days video game consoles. The style of the Super Nintendo controller brought options to the SNES games that would otherwise not be possible. One of the most popular SNES games made was Street Fighter II and was probably one of the most popular console games ever invented. Each and every button on the controller was not only used but necessary. It was so nicely arranged for the game that it was truly a new experience. Super Nintendo controller was vital to the game play. Street Fighter II wouldn't have been the same exciting game with any other controller. Sega realized this change, although a bit late, and came out with their new version of Super Nintendo controller for their Genesis. To their luck, the controller lacked shoulder buttons, and wasn't even nearly as comfortable as the controller of SNES.

Current game controllers haven't changed much since then. Now, the controllers have newer grips that help to trigger buttons easily but the shape of the controllers is similar to the Super Nintendo controllers. Microsoft's Xbox controllers have a similar color scheme of the buttons as that was on the old SNES controller. Since, its invention the Super Nintendo controller excelled in its performance and price and will continue to do so for generations.

Writen by James Adams

Do you ever get tired of surfing the internet? I know I do. If you are someone that is on the internet a lot and is looking for something to do, I recommend you try out some arcade games!!

There are a lot of websites on the internet today that offer free arcade games that are easy to play, keep scores and make your time on the internet a lot less boring. Have you ever wondered what happened to the classics like pong, pacman, missile command, space invaders and donkey kong? You can find mini games of those classics to play online at one of the many free arcade websites.

The games are free and you can compete by trying to get the high-score. The games are usually in a Flash format so you will not have a problem viewing or playing the games.

Another cool future with these arcade games is that you can integrate them within your myspace.com profile! You can easily become the envy of your friends by putting some of the favorite classics on your profile page. They are very easy to integrate into your current myspace profile and are lots of fun when you have nothing else to do.

Some of the free arcade sites have over 2,000 different arcade games. That is a lot of games! There are games for everyone from shoot em ups, racing, logic, humor, fantasy and more! Find a game that you like? Most of the sites have "tell a friend" features that let you email a number of friends informing them of the game you like playing, what your high-score is and how they can play.

This is a great way to get your friends playing. It can get quite competitive to be careful! Next time you are bored and thinking of something to do, check out some free arcades online!

The Godfather Game Review Ps2

Writen by Misty Pathster

Right from the beginning of this game you know you are playing something special. The attention to detail of 1940's New York is amazing. Litter blows around the streets, steam comes up from the sewers and pigeons wander around parks. In the distance from your home in Little Italy you can see the towering empire state building.

The object of the game is to rise through the ranks of the corleone family until you eventually become the Don. The game is made up of both linear and non-linear storylines. At anytime you can follow the storyline or simply go off and grow your crime business.

The main currency in the Godfather is respect. You earn this by completing missions and by taking over businesses and rackets. You have to tread carefully though as there are other gangster families who will not take kindly to you moving in on their turf. Push them too far and you will start a vendetta resulting in gang warfare.

Throughout the main storyline you will encounter various characters from the film including the Don himself. Some of your missions will cross over in to events that happened in the film. This element really makes you fill part of the bigger picture.

The style of gangster you play can be fully customised right down to looks and clothing. As you gain respect levels you can spend points in upgrading a number of skills such as fighting or shooting. The side missions are varied and you can more or less pick where you want to go. Stuck for cash? Get a stick of dynamite and rob the local bank. If you take this job be carefull as you will have cops all over you from the moment you leave the bank.

To get around town you can use vehicles such as your own car or if you wish hijack someone elses.

A warning for parents, this game is very much aimed at adults which is why it carries an 18 certificate.

All in all I think whoever plays this game will not be disappointed. It offers something for both fans of the films and those new to the genre.

Misty Pathster's Verdict - 9/10

Uav Hunter Ii And Rq1a Predator Uavs Needs Additional Modifications

Writen by Lance Winslow

Since the Predator has inverted "V" shaped stabilizers these stabilizers should contain wheel pants and wheels underneath to lessen weight and save costs in manufacturing, we need to bring down the costs of these units. Less mechanism will save weight and we can use that savings in weight for increased payload or more fuel to extend loitering time. I propose the rear Landing gear incorporated into this V-Tail assembly. Let's move Murphy out of these aircraft and keep it simple, cheap to build and efficient.

http://www.danshistory.com/uav.shtml

This is being proposed to reduce costs of future UAV squadrons in manufacturing and to save weight and fuel efficiency for longer missions and greater range to provide eyes in the sky and security to the battlespace and our nations and allied borders. Redesigning UAV choices in your battlespace UAV siumulations and computer games will be necessary to keeping pace with the real world war planners as the technology hyperspaces the world of virtual reality.

Many of the current UAV models are being looked at for improvement in efficiency for added range, additional payload and stealth. Are you designs viable, are they better than actaul? Are you learning from aerospace engineers or are you still teaching them lessons in what works?

Evolution Of Gaming Graphics Vs Gameplay

Writen by Tony James

If you are old enough to remember the early days of computer gaming you know there were a lot of great games that were fun because of the exceptional gameplay and not just the graphics. Gaming started to become a little more popular in the 90s once people started buying computers. In the early 90s games like Maniac Mansion, X-com 1, and Civilization were extremely hot because of their addictive unique gameplay. Today gaming is mainstream and marketed towards a mass audience. In order to market to everyone, many games these days focus on the graphics and special effects rather than unique gameplay. You see many games that seem to be carbon copies of each other with slightly different twists.

These days, a lot of games try to be as realistic as possible and have the most textures and polygons jammed in to wow your eyes. In order to market to everyone, many games these days focus on the graphics and special effects rather than unique gameplay. Although there is nothing wrong with a game with beautiful graphics, once the novelty of the graphics runs out, the gameplay is what keeps you playing. You see many games that seem to be carbon copies of each other with slightly different twists. There are a few games like Halo 2 where the developers obviously spent a lot of time fine tuning to make sure the gameplay was as enjoyable as possible. With Halo 2, the two things that give it an edge in my opinion is the fact that the movement of players is slower than most games and the weapons are highly balanced. Also, rather than throwing tons of multiplayer maps at the player, the developers focused on making a limited number of quality maps.

Freeware games are an option for people on a small budget who value gameplay over graphics. A freeware game is simply a game that is completely free with no fees attached. Freeware developers usually don't have the million dollar 3d engines to run their games so they must make the games as fun as they can without all the bells and whistles of retail games. These developers make games simply for the love of making them and sometimes come up with some unique and quality games that are definitely worth a look. Especially considering that these games are completely free. These games span all the categories of retail games from Massively Multiplayer to 3d First Person Shooter. Some companies also release production quality games as freeware because they decide not to put the game into production or as promotion.

How To Listen To Music On Your Psp

Writen by Neil Wallace

If you're like most people who own one of Sony's PlayStation Portables, you're probably in love with it. But you also want to be sure you get the most out of your investment and enjoy every one of its incredible features. And that includes the ability to play all your favorite music.

Sony's PlayStation Portable or PSP, built primarily for gaming, comes fully equipped with superb multimedia features. So if you thought it was just for playing games, think again. Not only can you play multiplayer games over the Internet, you can also watch movies, listen to music, browse the Internet, and more. It uses a small, yet powerful, Memory Stick PRO Duo, and the performance is superb due to advanced technology using Mp4 encoding.

Mp4, also known as MPEG-4, is the global multimedia standard defined by the Moving Picture Experts Group that delivers professional-quality audio and video streams over a wide range of bandwidths. Mp4 enables DVD-quality video to be delivered at lower data rates and smaller file sizes, and that's very important on smaller devices with limited storage capacity.

Your PSP comes ready to play music and movies in Mp4 format. Transferring music and movie files to your PSP is easy. First, download the files you want from the Internet to your PC. Second, ensure any movies are in mp4 format. For music, your PSP will play any music in mp3 format, and also wma and wav formats. Third, transfer the files to your Memory Stick PRO Duo. Your PSP instruction manual offers several ways to do that. Finally, insert the Memory Stick PRO Duo in your PSP and select either video or music from the home menu.

This is a beautiful device and it would be a shame to use it only for one purpose and to miss out on all its other uses. So I guess now you'll be watching movies, listening to music and playing games, all day long. Who's going to get any work done? Well, not me, I'm kind of busy right now.

Drawing Hand Held Surface To Air Missile Fire At Night Using Uavs

Writen by Lance Winslow

One of the easiest ways to draw shoulder launched missiles at night is to fly UAVs very close and use the simulated sound of an Apache Attach Helicopter, Howling of a jet fighter or a few UAVs flying together the combined sound of a four engine transport. At night you could have a few UAVs with strobe lights or a tint of green glow simulating reflections off the canopy of an attack helicopter along with sound used by a whistler on the UAV, or even a whistler, which mimicked a high frequency sound which caused their equipment to whistler.

Devices such as these can be bought at Wal-mart for five dollars, the faster the UAV travels the more sound or high frequency sound is made. We also use these on cars in deer country, but certain ones screw with your radio reception you know? Every time a shoulder missile is launched they have one less. Chances are it will not even hit the target anyway, they will launch it into the sky and nothing will happen, may not even come close, they will probably launch it too far in front of the UAV assuming a rate of speed for an aircraft, which is not even there. A UAV could also go into an area near a border crossing using electric battery power or glide in after turning off the motor and crash 300 feet from the enemy troops. Have a small glow and cigarette smell and a small set of voices talking about getting laid in English and the newest corvette model the enemy would sneak up on the crashed model plane and give away their positions and could be seen by night vision goggles.

We can even see small arm fire from satellites now, if they sent of a mortar round, we are all over it, never know what hit them or see where it came from. You certainly would have less people fighting you if you had stories like that floating around that is if anyone lived to tell anyone else what happened that night?

Nintendo Ds Review

Writen by David Turnbull

The Nintendo DS was a long anticipated handheld console, and no one knew what to expect. Nintendo has controlled the handheld market for a long time, but had been slimming in the general console section. And with news of the Sony PSP, could Nintendo still stay on top?

Holding the Dual Screen may be a little awkward at first, just like the GameCube controller is at first, but once you play for a bit it gets very comfortable, though people with bigger hands may have trouble pressing the R and L buttons, as I have had multiple times. The free demo you get with a Nintendo DS may be fairly short, but it's easily worth the price tag ($0.00). There are three training challenges you can do (Regulator, Survivor, Morph Ball). Out of the box you can do wireless multiplayer, which is very fun, but does get slightly repetitive with the choice of only 3 maps, all of which are fairly small. Remember the Nintendo 64? Well, the graphical capabilities seem to be around that, if not slightly better. The textures can seem a little dodgy at times, but the characters, effects, and objects are nice enough not to want to gouge your eyes out.

The DS launch brought a lot of debating. Games were lacking, Sony fanboys were bagging it out, and generally, as I said before, no one knew what to expect. The Nintendo DS is a solid handheld system and has a bright future.

5 Minute Guide To Backgammon For Beginners

Writen by Natalie Aranda

With hundreds of game addicts now trying to dominate the backgammon market, it is impossible to find secret tips that will make you a better player. We all want to beat our friends, family, and even the players we compete with online. Luckily, there are many backgammon rules, tips, and suggestions when you are starting to become a fan. From backgammon codes to backgammon bonuses, it is extremely important to read the tips below; if you feel that you want to learn a lot about backgammon.

1. If you are tired of playing backgammon, perhaps try downloading it online! By playing backgammon online, you are able to connect with others and meet players from around the globe. This is an exciting way to spice up ordinary game playing. You also may find more competition on the web, since you are playing with people from many different experience levels. Many sites offer free backgammon online, as long as you sign up with your e-mail address. It's a challenging fix to boredom! Plus, it's great to download backgammon without having to pay a cent.

2. What most people do not know is that several large web companies actually offer a backgammon bonus. For instance, if you refer your friends to their software or play a certain amount of games from their site, you will find a special backgammon bonus. This could mean anything – special tricks, new setups, or just a special backgammon code you can enter to win free prizes. It all depends on the company and what they are willing to offer.

3. The most important thing when playing backgammon is to always have a strategy. You don't have to stick with it the entire time you play, but you should have a few backup moves incase your player catches on. The last thing you want is for a competitor to realize what you're doing and ruin everything!

4. Hit your opponent, even if you have the opportunity to score on your own side! On the other hand, if you are losing terribly, you need to find out if the attack will benefit you. For instance, if you already have your opponent's pieces on the bar, it is probably smarter to go with scoring from your home side.

5. Watch your competitor's every move. You not only could learn a lot of special tricks, but you can manipulate and copy their strategy as well. If you are doing the same exact thing, it will expose their plan and chances are you will dominate the situation.

6. Be aware of what is going on around you. For instance, if your competitor has a lot of points on his side of the board, then it is going to be almost impossible for you to continue if you get hit. Therefore, staying on track and paying close attention to the amount of pieces/points he has is key.

7. Try your best to build primes! A prime is when you get six points in a row and therefore "capture" your opponent. As long as you can continue the no gap, your opponent cannot escape. Unfortunately as time goes on, it does get harder to maintain it.

8. Most of all have fun!! Backgammon is supposed to be one of the easiest and exciting games out there. Especially with backgammon expanding to the online market, it is possible to play with great people from around the country. Enjoy the possibilies.

Its Cool To Play Games

Writen by Morgan Hamilton

One of the best ways a majority of us relax, stay engaged, stave off boredom, or even blow off hours at work is to play games—video games, computer games (you do know there are a few addictive games in your word program, right?), or online games.

I own over a hundred games from the ever-wonderful bigfishgames.com. I regularly visit gaming sites on the Internet as well. One, I still check out quite a bit is actually a free - boxerjam, great name isn't it? never mind that these are where I played my very first games online the very first time—in the early eighties—I went online. (Those were the days when you would dial in, wait while the screeeoooobongbongbong sound that would later absolutely drive up the wall).

One game that I have been playing quite a bit lately, and I am absolutely hooked on is Pogo. You can play at three but you have to put up with intermittent advertisements. But really, paying to play games at Pogo (and I'm sure at other equally fine sites) is pretty cheap anyhow if you want to go that route. Especially if you prefer to stay at home (because you find that people now drive you absolutely nuts), never spend money on anything other than food and shelter, and deserve (as every human does) the mind altering of fact that playing games affords.

Believe it or not they are actually some benefits to Lane is games other than just for its entertainment values. Let's take a look at a few:

1.Such platforms or networks or whatever they are called these days allow games to return to their natural form. You can play games like Checkers, a version of Scrabble, or Canasta, for example, with a robot that is programmed so that you can choose them to lead skill levels that are predetermined by you. And the new avatars (mini-me cartoon representations of players/members) have very human expressions like smiles, frowns, even human like expressions that can be seen when winning a round, losing a game, conceding to a set or match.

2.In-game chat for real-time games means you get to play games and communicate with others as you play, anywhere in the world, live. You don't hear from them three days after you emailed or snail mailed a message; you don't wait ten minutes as if you are stoned and swearing you took way too long to answer that question; you type back and forth to people all over the world. If that's what interests you. You can, of course, choose to either play games against the computer program itself or human counterparts of your choosing.

3. There are benefits of the previous listed points which include such things as, gaming online enhances social skills because you have to deal with others, breaks down barriers, encourages the human sentiments of empathy and sympathy (for anything important to the online/human acquaintances…life issues, feelings, attitudes about hard games or dull ones or games acting up); and, in my estimation, beats having to play games alone.

4. The miracle of online game playing systems also encourages altruism and contributes to technological knowledge development, on whatever level. People with like-minded interests tend to help others, chat, manipulate pc commands/controls, play unfamiliar games, and, in general, have a great deal of fun and are acting with each other. It's a beautiful thing.

While we now know, too, that when you play games (of any mode and of certain types), those games help to sharpen some of our mental faculties, Alzheimer's, and, in my coo-coo world, the insanity of such needful mental aberrations as ADD, ADHD, and OCD—though this last benefit is not necessarily empirically proven. There has been quite a bit of research done on this topic and you can bet there will be a whole lot more to come.

So to play games is to invite motivation for beating your personal best, to perform in competition-mode (though this is very understated), to compete and try to win some money if that's at stake. Our earliest ancestors no doubt liked to play games and were amused by them. Even if its these tokens that are virtually real but virtually useless for anything other than virtual activities. Whatever the case, it all translates to F-U-N.

Morgan Hamilton offers expert advice and great tips regarding all aspects concerning games. Get the information you are seeking now by visiting Play Games

How In The Hell Is Uno 1 Xbox 360

Writen by Mac B.

Each and everyday we are just stunned at how much we enjoy playing Uno on the Xbox 360. As we are big first-person shooting fans (think Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter, Halo 2, etc.), a simple online card game called Uno takes up most of our time when playing Xbox 360. A Game that cost under $6.00 gives us the most satisfaction and fun out of all the games on the Xbox 360. But How?

5 Reasons Why Uno Is #1

1. Total fun! Many of us played Uno as kids, do you remember how much fun that was? Now we get to play Uno with people from across the world on the Xbox Live Service. Absolutely a blast! 4 people in a room all with microphones (very soon video cameras can be used to play Uno), chatting or talking trash.

2. It is so relaxing. This is one of the most relaxing games we have ever played. Just sit back in the chair and figure out your next move. Which matching number or matching color card am I going to throw out? The player didn't call Uno, catch him or her in time and force them to draw more cards. Yeah, I want you to Draw Four! There's no shooting or fighting involve with playing Uno!

3. The price. At Under $6.00, this game is a bargain and gives you more bang for the buck. How many of you have spent $60.00 for a video game only to be disappointed? Yeah, we have. Lets put it this way, Uno does not disappoint and it will cost you less than a Mcdonalds meal. Beat that!

4. Fun for anyone at any age. This is one aspect we love about Uno, is that anyone can play it. Family, friends, etc. It is a good, clean, safe and fun game! Parents you can have an extremely good time with the kids.

5. Let us say this again, Xbox Live has turned this game into a Must Have game for anyone who just love playing video games. It does not matter what your favorite genre is (FPS, RPG, Racing, etc.), once you play Uno you'll be addicted. Don't let this simple card game fool you. You'll be playing until 4:00am EST in the morning simply because you lost track of time. The game is that fun! Playing online with 3 other gamers is Heaven! We never thought Uno would be one of our favorite games.

Pc Games Wizardry

Unless you've been around for a while, you've most likely forgotten this PC game series. And what a series it was. Spanning an entire eight editions, this was one of the most ground breaking games ever made. Sir-Tech software came up with a real winner when they created the first Wizardry adventure game. At the time it was just a big gamble. Nobody could foresee what was about to come of it.

The game itself was created by Andrew Greenberg and Robert Woodhead. The first in the series was entitled "Proving Grounds Of The Mad Overlord". The story itself was interesting enough to have been made into a movie, even if the graphics of this early PC game were crude by today's standards. In short, the game involved the search for an amulet that has been missing for five years. Your characters are to venture into the maze of the game to find it. Simple enough, until you run into all the obstacles thrown your way.

"Knight Of The Diamonds" was the second in the series. In this game it is a staff that was stolen. Without the staff the city is defenseless. So once again, your warriors are called on to begin their search for the stolen staff. The graphics in this game were slightly better than the first one.

The next one in the series was "Legacy of Llylgamyn" In this edition, it's been a generation since the staff was recovered. But now there is a mystical orb called the Orb Of Earithin that you are after. In order to get it, you have to defeat the mighty dragon named L'Kbreth. Not an easy feat by any means.

The Wizardry series kept rolling along with the fourth installment called "The Return Of Werdna". In this edition, it is five years since the mystical amulet was captured. But the amulet has not revealed any of its secrets. Just when it seemed something would be revealed the amulet is stolen once again. It's off to retrieve it once more.

In Wizardry V, called "Heart of the Maelstrom", ages have passed in the kingdom. The heroes are long dead and buried. The story of this edition is way too complex to get into detail here. Ultimately, the new adventurers have to find G'bli Gedook, the guardian of the orb. Afterwards they have to battle The Sorn and whatever is thrown at them. This entry in the series was by far the best to date.

Wizardry VI, "Bane Of The Cosmic Forge", pretty much picked up where five left off. The kingdom has fallen. In this edition the adventurers have to find an artifact called The Cosmic Forge, which is a magical pen of great power. No one knows what happened to the king who originally discovered it or the pen itself. The search through the castle begins.

"Crusaders Of The Dark Savant" was the seventh entry in the series. The Cosmic Forge is gone. In this edition the heroes are searching for The Astral Dominae, an artifact that dates back to the prior millennium. This was the most complex in the entire series to this point and also graphically the most elaborate.

The last of the series was simply titled Wizardry 8. Sadly, this was a pale followup to Savant and the series itself died while going out with a whimper.

The Wizardry series, however, was one of the greatest experiences PC game players had in the relatively short history of PC games.

There may never be another like it.

Free Runescape Autominer Download

Writen by Stephen Warren

The first thing you need to know about them, is that they are completely illegal.

Secondly, if you see "free runescape autominer download" somewhere, more than half of them out there aren't what they claim to be at all! Infact 99% of of of these, are just viruses that destory information on your computer and hack your runescape account.

This means that not only do you lose everything in your runescape account, you'll also have spyware, viruses and who knows what else, on your computer. It's also possible that these viruses will steal your credit card information, and record anything you type.

If that's not going to convince you not to use a free runescape autominer download , nothing will!

Also, one more thing I forgot to mention. Even if you do find an autominer that is real (Which is highly unlikely), the runescape staff can EASILY spot them and will ban your account as soon as they find out.

And even if the runescape staff themselves don't catch you right away, you can bet 1000 people are going to report you for using them, that will definately get the jagex staff's attention.

Also, in order to avoid having your account hacked, you should set recovery questions and also a bank pin. So even if someone manages to hack your account, they can only sell what you're wearing.

Online Video Game Rentals The Pros And Cons

Writen by John Hinkle

THE PROS AND CONS OF ONLINE VIDEO GAME RENTALS

Many other review websites may tell you that the online rental game clubs are anything but inadequate, just like any other company or system ever concieved, there are a few drawbacks. Although online rentals are a huge step in the right direction for video game rentals and storefront rentals, the drawbacks are few and far between. Let us take a look at them below:

Pros:

1. Online video rentals offer thousands of video game rentals with the newest video game titles being released on rental as soon as they come out. Older games are always available as well.

2. Deliveries are received in your mailbox within 2-3 business days of your order.

3. No late fees or delivery due dates for any game in stock. All games can be kept for as long as you wish.

4. Rental companies generally offer used games that are only a few months old for a much lower price than you would be able to find at any storefront or retail store location.

5. Customer service is always there to help with any shipping, tracking, or game problem that may arise within 24 hours.

6. Memberships are alot cheaper than renting games at a storefront rental if you tend to rent games more than 3 or 4 times a month.

7. Some online rental companies supply instructions, reviews, cheats, and community reviews to the public, online, so that gamers to make an informed decision on what to rent.

8. You will be provided with different rebates and special offers for being or signing up as a member.

Cons:

1. If you occasionally rent a game from time to time and don't usually rent more than 1 or 2 games a month, you may be wasting your money. Make sure that you know how much time you have available each month to devote to you favorite games. If your time if very limited, you may want to consider a 1 game a month plan or even cancelling if you are not playing at all. Almost all rental companies offer cancellations at any time unless you got offered a contract for a certain low price plan.

2. Some contract memberships will charge you a fee even if you do not rent any games at all during your entire membership. Make sure that you will make good use of your membership, even if your recieving a discount from other companies for signing onto a contract. It won't save you anything if you dont use it.

3. You may be one of those busy people, like many of us, who do not know when you may have the time available to spend on playing video games. When you do realize you have the time, you dont have 1-3 days to wait for a game to show up in your mailbox. Storefront rentals may be just the right choice for someone like you. You can pick up your game anytime and play it for the times that you have available.

Runescape Bots

Writen by Stephen Warren

Have you ever wanted to know about runescape bots, but all you found was people trying to scam you? Would you like to know why that is?

It's because 99% of all so called runescape bots are completely fake.

What they really are, are viruses that infect your computer and record everything that you type in, then once it's recored something, it sends the data the creator of the virus. So now you've lost your runescape account and probably a lot of credit card information as well.

Other ways which people try to gain access to your acount, is when people say, that in order for it to work, they need to log into your account and set it up. In this case, there are no runescape bots, just someone claiming to have one when he really doesn't and wants access to your account.

Think about it, why would someone give away runescape bots for free? And don't believe them when they say "I used to be one of Jagex staff, and now I hate them so I'm releasing this for free". That's just a big lie.

So what do you do if someone offers you a runescape bot? You report them and ignore them. Don't get sucked in, you've got so much to lose and so little to gain.

Role Playing Gamescharacter Guide 3

Writen by Dustin Schwerman

Introduction: Ah the attacker. How can one go wrong? Truly, this is the specialty that needs no introduction, but we'll give it one anyway. In a role playing game, the attackers are the solid, effective damage dealers. Whether through their high chance of successfully hitting, their ability to inflict severe injury, or their capability at causing debilitating status damage, attackers master the art of taking their opponents down. Solid and dependable, attackers don't need a variety of tricks and tactics. Give them their weapons, point them at their opponents, and watch the combat end.

For purposes of this article, attackers can include any and all of the following: a character who has a reliable chance of hitting in combat; a character who deals significant damage; or a character who can weaken opponents with status effects. An attacker, however, should not be confused with an achiever (who has a high chance of succeeding any action, not just attacks) or a blaster (who deals massive damage to multiple opponents). Generally speaking, an attacker can attack only a few foes, typically one, on any given turn. Attackers also are able to attack without cost; they don't usually have major limitations on how often they can utilize most of their abilities.

In Quests of the Realm, attackers are represented, logically enough, by the attack preference.

Player Tactics: Obviously, if you are playing an attacker, your tactic is to attack. It helps, however, to determine just what style of attacking you prefer. In QoTR, you can decide this on the fly in battle if you want, varying your tactics. Depending on the game you play, the type of character and abilities you choose may limit your options.

If you plan to go for damage power over accuracy, you might not get many hits in, but those you do achieve will be decisive. This can be a weakness against defenders, who take your already low chance of hitting and further reduce it. If you favor hitting often, don't expect to turn the tide with a single move; you need some time to wear your foe down. This, then, is of less use against tankers, who can take more of your hits. If you favor status effects over direct "hit point" style damage, your attacks are better at directly weakening a foe in combat, but not strictly better at wearing them down. The effectiveness generally varies depending on how your game handles status effects, but generally speaking, it is easier to deal damage than to blind, stun, or confuse a foe.

All combinations have merit, and an attacker certainly compliments any other specialty in a combat-oriented game. Attacker/defenders or attacker/tankers have both offense and defense covered. If you favor direct damage, being an attacker/blaster might suit you well. On the flip side, if you like a high chance of hitting, you might prefer attacker/achiever. Generally speaking, an attacker/user might be better able to inflict status effects than others, while an attacker/enhancer is good at weakening foes while augmenting allies, which can make for an interesting combination.

GM Tactics: Attackers are good at dealing damage, which makes them deadly. If you put your players up against a boss-level attacker, you are putting their characters at significant risk of death. Although some groups prefer a "take us to the edge" style of play, the focus of these articles for a GM is to help challenge the players while maintaining a respectable chance that their characters will survive the encounter.

That in mind, attackers are best used as fodder foes—that is to say, opponents who are individually weaker than the main characters, and tend to fight in numbers. The numerical advantage indicates that despite their lesser power, these opponents will probably score a hit eventually. As attackers, they can deal respectable harm even to higher-level foes, making them into credible threats. A couple elite-level attackers focused on status effects helping out a boss can strongly intensify the challenge of a climactic battle, though you may want to tone the boss down some. If you wish to use a boss attacker, you might go for a character who hits often at the expense of pure damage power. This maintains the attacker's threat and helps get around pesky defenders, but also gives characters a chance to retreat, heal, or overwhelm the foe through numbers.

Attackers are front-lines fighters, plain and simple. They don't need tricks and tactics, but that doesn't mean they can't use them, and it certainly doesn't mean that all attackers are alike. By choosing your preferred attack style and selecting specialties that compliment it, you can create a highly customized warrior. This variety can also help wise QLs use offensively-oriented foes to threaten the players without putting them at excessive risk of character death.

The Ipaq Rx1950 Hps Answer To Pda Gaming Community

Writen by Damian Julien

Hewlett Packard's latest contribution to the Pocket PC arena (and let's face it-- to the PDA gaming community) is the iPAQ rx1950.

High-end PDA gamers may wish to set their sights elsewhere.

Its 300-Mhz Samsung processor is touted as XScale compatible, but this unit would choke on involved action sequences on some newer games.

Even worse, video playback on the rx1950 has been panned by a few forum lurkers. They're saying that folks who like their PDA gaming served with a side of DVD viewing will find performance hampered in the latter.

My iPAQ 4150's XScale400-Mhz still serves me quite well, with virtually no DVD to Pocket PC based hiccups.

To compound the issue, games like Age of Empires for Pocket PC contain full-motion video sequences.

A stuttering frame rate is really not what you want adoring, geeky Pocket PC or Palm public to witness. I personally find people most entranced by PDA games or Pocket PC video.

I choose to impress them on both fronts.

It sure beats telling folks that your device is best served by reminders. It's so much more than that.

Blindly joining in the MP3 device mania, I purchased a Zen Micro unit at a huge discount fairly recently, saving some $125 CDN in the process.

I then purchased an iRiver FM transmitter from Best Buy that plugs into my cigarette lighter, so I could have a permanent MP3 shuffle when en route to work.

I then realized what a complete waste of money this endeavour was when I plugged connected my iPAQ to the iRiver and set Pocket Media Player on shuffle.

The answer had lain with my awesome, versatile Pocket PC all the time. I had failed to see it.

All I had to do was cram a one gigabyte SD card full of MP3s and let her rip.

I'd been blinded by too much PDA gaming and not enough MP3 playing.

As it turns out, I already have an MP3 player, as well as an arcade gaming platform, several gaming console Pocket PC emulators, a DVD movie viewer, etc.

It's all right here in the case on my belt.

I've taken to plugging the FM tramsmitter in my iPAQ and turning up my radio volume to hear pins knock in Ultimate Bowling Fighter over car audio, much to the chagrin of my long-suffering wife.

She always assumes an expression on her face indicating that she'd rather not be in the vicinity when I resort to geeky, shameful PDA activity.

Still, on the rx1950 the beloved D-pad is still in place, eschewing the bizarre rx4700 touchpad for some good old comfortable button-mashing.

So on the Pocket PC game directional control front, everything's copasetic.

If you really want something that provides more than middling performance in some aspects, you may want to look elsewhere for your Pocket PC game fix instead of ponying up the cash for the rx1950.

The rx1950 is an introductory level device, but I can't wait for Hewlett Packard to roll up its sleeves and produce a device that's really worthy of the PDA gaming community.

History Of World Of Warcraft

Writen by Hunter Crowell

World of Warcraft stands as the greatest game in the popular Warcraft series

World of Warcraft has been an extraordinary success since its launch in November 2004. It has impressed game critics and has captivated millions of players, who adore the world that the game has created. It is no longer just a game but is now a genuine phenomenon, and one that shows no signs of abating. It is one of the key games of recent times, and stands as a landmark title for online gaming.

World of Warcraft's appeal lies in that it has created a truly engaging online world. This massively multiplayer online role-playing game is set in the world of Azeroth, a fantastic land that is filled with heroes and monsters and many other creatures. The game's strength is that it functions as an experience, as a world that exists on its own terms that you may visit and explore as you please.

World of Warcraft is the 4th title in the series of Warcraft games, which have been entertaining people for over a decade. The series began in 1994 with the game Warcraft: Orcs and Humans, a real time strategy game set in Azeroth. This was a fine title, and a good introduction to the series, but in truth the franchise was just getting started. The best was still to come.

Indeed, it wasn't until 1995 and the release of the second game, Warcraft 2: Tides of Darkness, that the series really found its voice. Warcraft 2 was a masterpiece, and it improved on the original in every sense. The game had beautiful graphics, epic storytelling and fascinating, absorbing gameplay. The high standards of the series continued in 2002, with the release of Warcraft 3: Reign of Chaos. This was another classic and a remarkable game in its own right. The predecessors of World of Warcraft were all superb.

Blizzard Entertainment published all of the Warcraft titles, and the games attracted a huge following. When Blizzard announced that there was going to be a 4th game in the series, it was natural that people were interested. This interest intensified when it emerged that the new Warcraft title was going to be an online multiplayer game. World of Warcraft would make Azeroth more interactive and redefine it as an experience.

The fans of the series had high expectations for World of Warcraft, as it promised to be a terrific and innovative new title. Blizzard held a beta test for the game in March 2004, and gave selected players a preview. Those who played it were very impressed and it received great reviews. The anticipation for the game's release grew stronger as 2004 went on.

World of Warcraft was officially launched in North America on Tuesday the 23rd of November 2004. It was well received by critics. The launch was a major success, and it achieved huge sales on its first day of release. Blizzard estimated that 240,000 copies were sold in the first day alone. These were record numbers for a game of this genre and so World of Warcraft became the fastest-selling online game in history. It was a smash hit.

World of Warcraft sustained this success; in fact, the popularity of the game began to snowball. It really took off and caught the public imagination, with more and more people becoming enthralled with it. 2005 saw the game explode into a global obsession. In February it was launched in Europe and in June it was launched in China, with other countries following suit. It proved hugely popular everywhere it was released, and by 2005's close it had more than five million subscribers worldwide.

World of Warcraft has evolved since its initial release. There have been a number of updates for the game, and the universe of Azeroth has grown. Blizzard have made improvements, fixed any problems, and have worked to make the game user-friendly. They have also expanded the game, by adding sections like Blackwing Lair, for example, the dungeon lair of Nefarion, one of the villains in the game.

In June 2005, Blizzard added major player versus player content in the form of two special battlegrounds, Alterac Valley and Warsong Gulch. Alterac Valley allows players to engage in battles of 40 on 40 people, while Warsong Gulch offers new challenges, like stealing your opponent's flag from their camp. These battlegrounds are the most substantial update to World of Warcraft since it was released.

Now, in 2006, World of Warcraft is as popular as ever. An expansion, titled The Burning Crusade, is set for release this year, and should expand the world of Azeroth even further. World of Warcraft has become the pinnacle of the Warcraft series, and is a magnificent and distinctive game.
